reflecting back and looking ahead

I can't believe today is New Year's Eve!  This year, I took the time to reflect back on 2012 and start planning for 2013.  

2012 was a year of lots of amazing changes

- I started Pinklet and C and am still amazed how it continues to grow!

- I look a huge leap of faith and left my job in the fashion industry

- I started my own business, Lindsey Anne Interior Styling and booked some amazing clients!

- I got engaged to the love of my life <33

- Wedding planning..opening a whole new life for me!

2013 has me looking forward to even better times

- Growing my Interior Styling / Events & Wedding Styling business, taking on lots of new clients and maintaining great relationships with current clients!

- Marrying the man of my dreams (I think this one takes the cake!)

- Enjoying the wedding I have dreamed of forever

- Getting back on track with my healthy eating - we have our juice cleanse booked!

- Attending more industry-related events and networking

The forecast calls for snow today which means all I want to do is cozy up on the couch with a giant cup of coffee and a warm blanket!  All of these spots look perfect to me!

lavender, white + silver - wedding inspiration

I'm loving this color palette I just put together for one of my bridal clients.  There is something so soothing about the lavender and white and the silver adds a bit of sparkle.

Life has been pretty busy lately with running my business, wedding planning, a sunny vacation....

I did have some time to do some holiday decorating around our apartment.  Here's a little peek..

Please excuse me while I get back into the swing of things after vacation.  After a week of the sun, sand and yummy drinks, reality strikes and there are endless amounts of emails to catch up leaving little time to blog today, but I thought I'd leave you with this pretty living room image.  I'm using it as a starting point for a brand new client's living room design and I'm so excited about it.  I'm instantly drawn to that fireplace!

trays under $100

With the holidays here, I thought I would share one of my favorites gifts - to give and receive! - with you.  Trays!  Trays are a great gift for just about anyone.  They can go in any room of the house and their purpose is endless.  I have a lot of trays in different sizes and colors and I change them out constantly.
Here are some of my favorites under $100.

1 - White Wash Wood Tray / 2 - C. Wonder Metallic Leaf Tray 

3 - Reed & Barton HaydenMedium Round Tray / 4 - Serving Tray in Chevron Green 

5 - Pier One Faux Croc Aqua Tray / 6 - Large Rectangle Lacquer Trays

If you are giving this as a gift, you can go one step further and add some of the following to take this tray up a notch!

-Add 2 holiday mugs and a bag of fresh coffee beans to the tray to set it up for breakfast in bed!

-Add a few candles and ornaments for an instant centerpiece

-Bake (or buy!) cookies and add them on the tray

-Add a few cocktail glasses and a bottle of your favorite drink and this is ready to be a bar station!

pedestal tubs

Pedestal tubs mark luxury in a bathroom.  They exude zen and glamour.  If a client has the room for a freestanding tub, I'm always all for one, but, more often than not, the room just isn't there.  

My apartment definitely doesn't have enough space so I'm daydreaming of these below....

holiday decor

I just finished up all of my decorating around my house yesterday and I am fully in holiday mode!  Decorating the tree is always my favorite, but I love adding little festive touches all around. 
I'm working on a few client's holiday decorating with them in-house and then I'm also getting ready to send out some e-decorating boards that are filled with detailed, customized ideas.  

Here are some of my favorite decorating inspirations that I've found around the web lately.  I've actually used all of these ideas around my house this year and have passed along my favorites!  The best part about all of these are that they are simple and won't break the bank!

This one just might be my favorite!  Turn your wine glasses upside down, add ornaments to the bottom and a candle on top!

Change up your vase fillers with holiday items - again, use leftover items that you already have!

In the wintertime, there is nothing I love more than curling up in front of a warm fire!  Fireplaces not only keep you (and especially my pup!) warm, but they really add a great warmth to a whole room (and I'm not talking about the temperature).

There are fireplaces all over my wedding venue, which makes me ridiculously happy...but that's a whole other post!
